Strikemaster Mag III 49cc help

I bought a used Mag 3 over X-mas and had a new carb kit and tune up done to it. It had been working fine and drilling holes very quickly until last week. I can start it fine and if I hold it up i can get full power, but if I start drilling a hole after about 4" - 6" it seems like the auger bogs down and at most I can run it at about 1/4 throttle. If I try to give it full throttle it seems like the auger sounds flooded and either turns slowly or stops. I also have run it at half choke and sometimes it goes faster for a few seconds, but then does the same thing, or shuts off.

Wondering what the problem may be: Spark plug, gas, the cold weather????

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to miss out on too much ice fishing!

Have you been venting the gas tank? Sometimes mine will bog down if I forget that. Fresh gas? Dirt in the carb? Or it might just need a carb adjustment. I've had small engines that the carb adjustment screws will loosen up and change the setting.

I'd check the fuel line fitting on the tank. With the cold temps we have the fuel line gets hard and contracts, with the type fitting they use, this could cause an air leak.

Next thing I'd do is turn the mixture screw out(counter clockwise)with small adjustments.
