Getting Gas Smell out of vehicle

CrappieAttitude

Question

Anyone have any product that removes the smell of gas in a vehicle. I was transporting an auger in my explorer and it must have leaked out some gas. I can't see any sign of where it spilled, however the vehicle smells pretty strong. The temp outside really made it difficult for me to drive with the windows down to air it out, and I am not sure that getting things wet with cleaners would be good in -20 either. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

CA

I have used Nilodor before and it works good. It comes in a little bottle and only need a drip or 2 to remove most smells. I have had gas spilled in the back of my Jimmy many times and it seems to work good to remove the smell. Just put a drop or 2 on the area with the spill and your good to go.

WIth the Explorer, I would pull up the carpet in the area where the auger was placed and look for any dark spots underneith. In my Xterra it looked clean as a whistle, but had a gas smell. When I pulled the cargo area mat, it was clean on top, but there was a stain underneith. It reeked of gas...go figure. I pulled the mat and I'm trying to find something to kill the smell.
