PerchJerker
Lowrance typically gives you more power (not needed on the shallow inland waters we fish around here) and a few more features than Eagle. But other than that they are basically identical units and you should get just about the same performance with an Eagle that you would with a Lowrance. From what you say you're looking for, I think an Eagle would be an excellent choice. Good luck.
harvey lee
I dont know what less is but the 520c I purchased last year works pretty nice and will accepts both chips. I believe it ran approx. 600.00This unit can pretty much do everything you will be looking for in a sonar/gps unit.
Central Bassman
From what I have seen and learned about these two units is that Lowrance has a way better screen then Eagle. Lowrance makes eagles so they aren’t going to make it better then a Lowrance. The 520c or the 522c igps would be the units that would fit you perfect. Both are 5” color screens, both have 2400 watts which is good to about 800 feet… I own one and LOVE IT!!!
