X67c

I'm just curious if anyone else is having trouble with their X67c as the battery voltage drops. When my ice machine voltage gets to about 12.3 I start picking up dark "blobs" scrolling across the screen. Do I need to purchase a new battery that will sustain a higher voltage for a longer period....I am only getting about three hours above 12.3 volts???

bass, your x67 can run down to 7 volts. After charging the battery, the voltage should be around 12.6. How would you describe those blobs. To me it sounds like you may have the sensitivity to high or maybe you don't have the noise rejection up high enough.

If you go to the falsher screen, hit menu and select ice mood, a battery indicator should pop up that shows you how much battery you have left.

Describe the "blobs"?

You can add a read-out for voltage on the graph screen by MENU->OVERLAY DATA then scrolling down and selecting VOLTAGE. From here you can also add Local Time, Speed, Depth, and adjust the font size of the overlay data.

I agree with K Dawg; sounds like a sensitivity/noise rejection issue. When I've had a battery go bad, the screen will flicker, the graph will vibrate up and down, and finally turn off.

I don't think the voltage measure is a good indicator of how much the battery has been used or has left. It might be a good indicator if your battery is not holding a charge if it quickly drops from 12ish to 10ish.

How old is your battery? How do you charge it?

Mine starts to act goofy around 11 volts. I would put on a new battery and it would work fine. I did find that my inline fuse holder was not giving me a good connection all the time, causing my voltage to drop intermittently. I have not used it since, but I would think this would have created some problems.

Thanks Guys for the assistance. I took all of your advice:reset the factory options, adjusted the noise/sensitivity, bought a new battery, and changed out the fuse. I don't care how cold it is..I'll go fishing, but only if my x67c is with me...it is a fabulous machine. Thanks again.
