Fish houses on wheels need registration

I recently saw this report.

The DVS and DNR have determined that a fish house on wheels meets the requirements of a trailer and must be registered as such.

This trailer registration is separate from any fish house license that the DNR may require.

It did not say if this is effective immediately or not.

Any info on when this goes in to effect?

I would guess this has always been in effect. You need to license any trailer you pull on MN roads (as a MN resident) whether it is a utility trailer, boat trailer or any other type of trailer.

I don't believe so. Fish houses that had cargo doors in the rear were required to be licensed, others weren't.

Article in this weeks Outdoor News gives the low down on this. All fish houses on wheels need to be registered have license plates. They also need to have the proper trailer lighting. Will not be enforced until next season.
