Glue on Concrete Floor

I would get as much up with a scraper at first. I used once at my parent’s house a razor blade (7 or 8 inch wide) replaceable style 5' long slap hammer style scraper. It was a famous razor blade maker that made this scrapper. It got most of every thing up. Then we used mineral sprits to clean the rest. Any solvent should work. Just vent the room good.

Good luck!!!

I did not read that in your first post grin.gif.

I would get 3 or 4 of them, 4 or 5, guy/gals 5 gallon bucket of solvent and broom it on over the glue first. Let sit and use large scrapers to clear. Other than renting an industrial scraping machine, elbow grease is the only option.

Either way, it will get messy and be some work. Do you do this stuff on the side, for a living or are you starting your own store? I figured it was a basement job.

Here is it, the SLAMSCRAPER® Impact Tool

I would go to Red Devil's website and check out the chem's they have also. I will make a call to see if a machine is made for this.

Rent a floor sander with like 10 to 20 grit sand paper looks like a floor buffer that you stand behind, but uses sand paper. Also use plenty of sweeping compound on the floor to help keep dust down, Just don't leave the compound the floor to long( a day or longer) the concrete may absorb the oils and may affect the adhesion of the glue you plan using.

We hired a small crew to remove the glue from the concrete floor in our house. They had a machine that scraped it all off without solvent. Did a great job.

Cost of the crew was only $40 more than the 24 hour machine rental and well worth it.
