Vertical lures X - Jig question...?

Getting the Bass itch already... Sad. Wondering if anyone has heard of Vertical lures X-jigs? If so what do you think. I actually started using them last year mid summer and do like them. They are more weedless and with the trailer harness seem to be an all around better jig than I've ever used before. I just made a larger purchase and am really just trying to justify... I am curious though if any other bassers have been made aware of this product.

Ray, I did notice a bit of abrasion near the head of the jig after a full days outing of pitching around docks and into pockets of milfoil. If I'm not mistaken I was using 10lb fireline crystal while using these jigs. I think that that is a minor concern for the average guy but could be a big concern for a tournament guy. The difference in the amount of slime, gunk, and milfoil clumped on to the head of my jig was quite noticable though as the eye and knot were not exposed. I really liked the jig trailer harness though as it most likely aided in me not lossing or having to adjust my trailer. Give it a look see and post your opinion. I'd be real interested in what you more seasoned Bass guys come up with on this one. The idea seemed kinda neat to me but I've only been into my bass chasing for about three years and openly admit to still being a novice. Did the price seem reasonable? I thought they were a tad on the pricey side.

Ray and Everyone~

Here is some information for you about the jigs, They have a Teflon

insert in the tunnel through the head that will protect the line. A lot of

guys assume you never have to re tie the JigX the knot is 100% protected but

the line still gets wear and tear after some fishing. Does a Texas rig cause

damage to your line? Yes, the JigX protects the knot and is a lot less

likely to get hung up but you still have to re-tie to eliminate line wear. It think line wear has nothing to do with the lure it is the structure you are fishing that wears the line.

I've been using the Jig X for the past year and it's been a great jig for flipping milfoil. 1/2 and 3/4 oz. jigs usually do the trick. As far as the chunk sling that thing is a awesome little deal, prior to last year if I fished the jig all day I went through a bag of chunks. With the chunk sling I'll go through maybe three a day. Good thing about this sling is that it will work with other brand jigs as long as it has a double barb. They also have a football jig with the same through the jig line tie. If you like tubes then you have try the Tube X, it has a solid head and four big legs that move a lot water. They also have a creature bait that should be coming out soon, can't wait for that.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
