Handi-heater

Does anyone know if Handi-heater is still produced.

Its 20000 btu, round and about 2 feet tall direct vent.

I have one and my friend wants to buy one but I can not find any information online. Any help would be appreciated.

Handi-Heaters were originally distributed (not made) by Strikemaster. There were a lot of quality control problems and they quit distributing them. The company was then bought by a company called Timberwolf HLC in Wisconsin and last winter on this site another member tried to find them and found the phone disconnected. So I think this product is now defunct unless you find someone with a inventory of old ones. Hope this helps

Thanks that certainly explains why its been difficult to find on-line. I'm curious if there is another company that makes a similiar heater as the original Handi-Heater?

That is really strange. I remember seeing these heaters everywhere. Other than a few old classified adds I couldn't find anything about these heaters. You would think somebody still makes one similar.
