LOOKING TO BUY A HEATER FOR ICE FISHING. MAY BE USED IN A PORTABLE, OR JUST SITTING ON A BUCKET. ANY AND ALL INPUT WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS

The heater/cooker has been good for me.

I've had the Big Buddy heater for a little over a year and have had problems with it staying lit from the start. Just today I contacted the company and they said to call tech support and they would exchange it for a new one.

I second the heater/cooker. I have had mine for about 10 years and it still works great. I used to use the 1 lb. propane tanks but recently bought a 12' hose to attach to a 20 lb. tank. I wish I would have bought the hose sooner, it works great and will save me a bunch of money on all the little tanks!

Heater cooker would be my choice. It puts out alot of heat and being able to have the heater point up is nice so,etimes to. After awhile my pants and feet feel like thay are burning so I just turn the heater so it is pointing up and I am good to go.

Who makes the heater/cooker, or is that the Mr Heater with the wire bracket??? Where to find if not...?

I use a Mr Heater/Cooker run off a 5# propane tank. Works great for heating my FT Guide on the 'low' setting. The added bonus is that you can cook chili, coffee, soup, or marshmallows all day long.
