My sons first Northern

This is my sons first northern spearing! He's 10 this year and it was way past due to get him one. He missed four before finally connecting with this nice 4 pounder. Since that day he has drug ME out of the house several times to go spearing. Another cool thing is that is the same spear that I used (24 years ago) to spear my first fish. It's really light and easy for kids to throw.

that is awesome. The best part about it, you have a new person that is going to be hooked into this sport. We took a guy up north with us this year that never speared, and he is hooked as well. Siad that he was going to do this all the time.
