walleyewild
What is a good moderatly priced helmet for smowmobiling and atving? I am a bigger guy who wears glasses, so I am looking for something with a face shield that doesn't fog up too bad in the cold.
0 Fisherman For a Lifetime
I just got a good one CHEAP at Dennis Kirk on I-35. < $100 for the better one - I got the XXXL. Use it for ATV & snowmobiles.Highly recommend it!!
0 SnoManX
I've had a nice Bieffe for the last 8 years that works great. You can convert it from the full face shield to the motorcross style with visor in less than 2 minutes. I usually just run the motorcross style all year long though. 0 Da Beak
Check out Gander also. I just picked up a couple of Raider Modular helmets. They were 30% off through today. I have the same problem with glasses fogging. These have vents on them you can open that helps with that. (Chin and Forehead.)
0 mamohr686
I would recommend that you look toward an HJC CX-2 or similar style open face helmet. You can cut out a small square in the sides of the foam ring in some goggles for your glasses. Personally, I spend more money on a helmet because higher-priced models like the HJC ACX2 are about half the weight and have adjustable vents. Lightweight means you can ride longer without a sore neck, and more vents mean less overheating and fogging. I found my helmet on hsolist and saved over $150. I would be concerned about buying a scratch and dent helmet from denniskirk, helmets are made for one hard impact only and they should be inspected or replaced after a crash. I did see that fleet farm had some decent looking helmets for under $100.
