Snow cover in Swift Co?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Haven't been keeping track of the birds much this year but we're thinking about the last hurrah this weekend.

We would be North of Benson. Wondering if somebody has current snow info. Sounded like some areas might be pretty crusty. Wondering approx. depth too.

I know, A die hard would just go! But I'm getting old! crazy.gif

I was out today, the snow in the cattails is up to my waist in spots, but then again I'm not that tall either. Most of the snow is around 18", we didn't have much of a crust still kind of powdery. Stick to the cattails adjcent to corn stubble where you can see they have been feeding and you'll get birds. If there are enough of you, try putting out a poster, they were really wild today. Good luck and shoot them in the face.

We were S. of Alberta yesterday and saw plenty of birds. Snow was about 10-12". Birds were really skittish. Tons of birds along the road for "lazy hunters" around 9. Get into the 'cats and have a ball because that's where they are during the day. I'm plenty sore today.
