Itasca SP Winter Cabin rental

Drove through Itasca SP on my way home from Christmas yesterday. Wow! Nuthin beats snow covered pine trees for beauty.

Was thinking about doing Christmas in a cabin there next year...

Anyone been there and used the cabins in the winter?

I haven't stayed in the winter. We spent a late fall weekend in a Bear Head campground cabin and it was a great experience. I'd think that winter would be pretty nice, too.

I don't beleive any of the oldcabins are open in the winter but the Itasca Suites are open for winter. Here is a link to the web site for more info.

We stayed in the suites last year. They were real nice would do again some year. I would recomend them to anyone. The only problem is the weather. The weekends fill up pretty far in advance and you do not know how much snow or cold you will have. When we went last Feb. none of the trails were open because of the lack of snow. This year you would have plenty of snow.
