With any electronics you should have a fuse in the line.

Not sure how the cameras run...they must have fuse built inside if you hook up to the terminals they have ready for battery connect.

Not familiar with the X67 whether it has built in fuse or not.

If they both do, then you should be able to hook up to the same power source. Will be faster drain, but less weight to haul.

I am in the works of building a power box for my portable ice house. I am just going to power everything with one full size marine battery. Lights, vex, camera, and whatever else I dream up! The one battery will way about the same as 3 small Vex rechargables, (ok maybe twice as much) and it will last alot longer. Yes any 12 volt battery will work, your equipment should be fused already, but I would recommend a fuse right at the battery to protect the wiring from the battery to the equipment.

My X67 came with an inline fuse, I don't think it is fused internally. I can't remember what size fuse, but it is small, less than 3 amp I think, maybe as small as .5 Your owners manual should tell you the correct size. All of the electronics run off the same battery in my boat. If I hook up the x67 to the trolling motor batteries it loses its color, but nothing else seems to bother it.
