how would someone go and get sponsored,just a random thought that popped in my head.Would you have to win a lot if tourneys?

This is a big topic, here is my opinion on it… The biggest thing with sponsor is what you can do for them. When you go to a company the biggest thing they are looking for is why should we pick you? They want to know why you would be the one that would help promote there products. So you have to be able to show them what you are going to do for them. Any company is always wanting to make money and that’s what a sponsorship is apart of. You have to be willing to promote there product no matter what. Make sure you go after sponsors that have products that you believe in and use.

Yes, winning tournament will help you out a lot but it doesn’t guaranty that you will get sponsors. You have to be able to sell yourself to them and show them that you are a well known angler and that you will promote there products.

Getting a sponsor is a lot of work, you have to be committed to volunteering your time for all kinds of events. It can also be a lot of fun to!!!
