Motorola VS Jabra ?

There I finally got my first this vs that thread.

Do you use a bluetooth ear piece for your cell phone?

If so which one would you recommend? Right now I'm looking at the Motorola H850 or the Jabra BT250V .

I've got the H500 and I haven't had any issues with it thus far. I've been using it about a year. I don't have any experience with Jabra or know anyone that uses one.

They all work pretty good. Motorola is a tad better then the Jabra. They both tend to pick up a lot of backgrouond noise. If you use it in a noisy enviroment such as a tractor or a semi truck, I would strongly recommend looking into the Blue Parrott B150 Road Warrior. The others don't even come close when it comes to noise cancelling. The Blue Parrott comes through clear on both ends with the radio turned up loud enough that it is hard to talk. Depending on where you buy them they range from $100 to $120. They also have a 30 foot range, so you could leave the phone in the fish house and keep talking while you walk thirty feet to check the tip-up.

The H850 has a better mic and the jabra a better ear piece but like BIG DS said they are both going to pickup background noises. The Motorola H700 has a background noise canceling mic that seems to work pretty good but is about $20 - $30 more depending on where you buy it. I have had or tested the Moto H700, (2) H850's, H350, Jabra JT500, and BlueTek X2.

Parrot is a great headset from what I've heard and is well worth the money.

I think my next headset is going to be from Jawbone. The speaker and mic are suppose to be incredible on these!

I had a Moto H700 or H750, not sure what it was. It bounced off the windshield a few times before I gave it to a friend. I then bought a Jabra that would not connect with the phone I had at the time (Treo) because of the phone. I bought a H500 and hated it because I work on equipment and it did not hang on my ear good enough when I was bent over and my head cocked. The best I have had so far was a Blue Ant but I wore the speaker out (my phone bills are in the $200 to $400 category, business pays it,not me). I am now on the Moto H375 and it seems ok. My co-workers all complain about little bugs in their Jabras. But again, they all have Treo's which appear to be very finicky on Bluetooth head sets. I just got a Moto Razr phone and so far so good. I think your phone can make a HUGE difference on how the Bluetooth works. Check your phone HSOforum to see what they recommend.
