kitty cat year?

I picked up a Kitty Cat at a garage sale for $75, it runs pretty good, would like to know what year it is. The gas tank is mounted on the handle bars (I thought this was kind of a dangerous spot to be mounted. Thanks for any replies.

I dont think they ever put a gas tank on the handlebars. But for $75 I could deal with it. AS for the year do you have any pictures? or at least what are the colors on it that can narrow it down as well.

the hood is black with purple graphics and the seat is a leapard print, it looks all original, everything is faded. I will try to post some pics, thanks.

Unfortunately they all looked like that. So telling the year would be difficult. There should be a manufacture sticker/plate somewhere that has the serial number and build date on it.
