Also Gander Mountain had purchased Overtons Catolog based sporting goods as a clear cut way of finaly braking the hex Cabellas has held on them trying to get catolog rights

Its been a long time since Gander held to its terms of do not compete from its catolog fights to Cabellas.Earlier this year aftr being timewise allowable to again catolog Gander Purchased Overtons in order to compete.

Overtons has been shipping out about 25 million water toys catologs per printing to its home shopping customersHopefully this will add lower pricing to a lot of gear we all want.

Last year we had a Fishing Minnesota FLW Fantasy League, This year we might also.

As a former employee of Gander I hope they do something to change there reputation that they have right know. It can be a great store they just need to start making it one!!!!

Bassman,if people let stores and chains know they need improvement in forums like this they might listen.Especially family owned stores like Gander,it probaly helps that a Minnesota company with115 stores has more ability to be concerned than a stock traded company.

gander is a stock traded company, I own a few shares and am thinking about investing a little more, knowing the catalog is coming and the stock is under $5 as of friday

good tip Pick, I personally like Gander over Cabelas, I have told all those that get me gift cards for the holidays that I prefer Gander, I think there better for the Bass Fisherman, and there bargain bins rock, I can usually make alot of money come February and March when they start throwing good cranks in the bargain bins (hsolist)

Talked to relative of Ganders owners couple of times and was thinking they were not traded.

25 million mailings makes a lot of boating newbys that might also fish.

We live about 60 miles away from any town that would give you more than one store to shop for outdoor gear so having catolog comes in handy.
