I just looked at the regs, and didn't realize the walleye season closed on the 16th. I thought it used to always close near or at the end of February. Any reason for the change?

To the best of my knowledge, it's always been mid-Feb. with the licenses expiring the end of Feb. Fish Fast.

Been that way as far as I can remember. They may have lengthened the season due to weather but I can't remember.

oh yeah my bad. That's right I forgot that they had extended the season to help the resorts and whatnot. Feel free to delete this thread moderators
