I just recently moved to Colorado and started fishing for lake trout. Some guys have told me lakers bite just as good at night as they do during the day ,and others have told me not to waste my time. I thought I would get your opinions. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ive gotten Lakers at night in May on a smelt laying on the bottom. Havent fished them at night in the winter much. I would sleep at night and go hittum hard during the day when you know for sure they will bite.
Afrer all I guys got to sleep some time.

Starcraft, Welcome to Colorado! Don't know about lakers after dark but we do well during daylight hours. A word of caution, high mountain lakes get REALLY COLD after dark. Well below zero is comon. Make sure you check out the Colo forum. Again, Welcome
