Navionics chip problem

I just purchased the 2006 premium for MN. I have a IFinder color. I install the chip in the unit and I can't get the thing to work. I also have a Lakemaster chip and that works fine. Is there something I am missing with Navionics? The chip is brand new from the store just out of the package. Any hints or ideas, did I get a bad chip?

You have to select the region with the Navionics chip the Navionic chips break down MN in 4 seperate regions, unlike your Lakemaster chip which is plug and play for the most part.

Put the chip in, turn on unit, push menu, scroll down to map data, hit enter, scroll down to Navionics map choice, hit enter, scroll through the regions -nmn, nemn, etc...leave it on the one you want and exit out.

Navionics is a large chip with a lot more data than Lakemaster so they have to separate it into regions. You have to be in the right region to get the Lake you want in HD....If your in the wrong region the lake will be all blue with no depth separation.
