Did you notice how big the ultimates come in? 2 or 3/0 as the triples I think.

I'm gonna try a few of those gold colored VMCs this year - otherwise I went through the hook supply last night and I'm stocked baby!!

Cooter,

My guess is RK is may be getting the scoop this weekend at the big esox show in Chicago.

I need to plan on going to that show next year, it's huge! Send the Mrs off to shop on State Street, I hit the show, do a Chicago style dinner and it's a win-win weekend!

Hiya -

Here's the latest: Sounds like by spring we should start seeing the Ultimate Esox Hooks (the Ultra Points in standard bend) in 4/0 and 5/0 - possibly 6/0. Less certain about the Triple Grips at this point but I'll keep asking \:\)

Cjac - Chicago show's fun for sure. Worth a trip sometime. Actually a ways out of Chicago out in Arlington Heights, but there's a huge mall there for the BOSS to wander around in. Great food too. Had a lobster tail the size of a football at Poppadeaux's on Friday night. I'm still kinda full. grin.gif

Cheers,

Rob Kimm

ok! another spin off question about hooks!

the replacement hooks i have gotten around here are the eagle claw style. ( i do see that thorn. bros. do carry the straight pt.) i prefer the straight pt. style over the eagle claw, do to being easier to get a sticky sharp point.

your opinions? del
