MUSKY18
So I have kind of heard that River Run tackle isn't producing anymore Manta's. Was looking on Rollie and Helen's and they don't even have any for sale anymore. Can anyone shed anymore light on this?????
10,000 Casts
The guy that makes them has been virtually impossible to get a hold of for orders and such..I was told that the guy who paints them for River Run is sitting on 600 of freshly painted sweet sweet Mantas and hasn't been paid... If anyone else has some info, I would love to know as well.
CommonSense Guy
Glad I bought a bunch when I did. I love em. But last time I was at Thorne Bros they had a bunch.

ESOXHUNTER123
I have tried to call the manufacturer and no response. I talked to Thorne Bros and they have tried to order more 3 or 4 times without any luck. If anyone finds any please let me know.

lucy1205
Thanks. That is a sweet bait. I bet that one tires ya out after a full day of jerkin. Do they make a jointed model by chance. That would be cool.
MuskyBrian
Actually they are very easy to work, really subtle rod movements make them dance..therefore you will not get tired out
MUSKY18
Brian is correct. YOu can throw these baits all day long with ease. Even the Hang 10 models are super easy to work and can throw all day. One of my personal favorite glider jerkbaits to throw and a pretty productive one as well! ESOXHUNTER123
I finally received an email for River Run get um while you can:Thank you for your interest in our line of fishing products. I have decided to scale back our operations so that I can spend more time with my family and do the truly important things in life like teaching my son how to fish while we both still have time together on this earth. As a result of this, we are forced to discontinue distributing our products through our nationwide dealer network. Our Manta family of lures has created quite a loyal following since their introduction in 2001. This loyalty has become evident with some reports reaching me that Mantas have sold in excess of $50 in recent online auctions on fears that they will no longer be available. Let me be the first to put any fears to rest. I am very pleased to announce that we will continue production on a limited basis for you, our loyal customers. Our target date to open our secure, online store is March 1. Due to the popularity of the Manta, I highly suggest that you place your orders soon after March 1, because there will only be a fixed amount of lures available each year. When we’re out of stock on an item, that item will not be available again until the following year. Continue to check http://www.riverruntackle.com for updates.
