Well I caught my first fish through the ice today it was only a little perch but its a fish. Thanks for the help guys.

Way to go Dan. Like Uncle Grump said, you gotta start somewhere and starting can be the most difficult part, now you're going to be pulling them up one after another.

Dan, I remember my forst icefishing "journey", I didn't catch any fish, I was too impressed with being able to see down the hole.

I looked for hours.....

I saw northerns, walleyes, perch go by. Last thing I was concentrating was jigging.

Finally I saw another northern swim by, I just moved minnow and...BAM, it took it. I was so startled I set the hook to hard and snapped 4lb test line.

It's a great sport....
