CHAIN TENSION?

I HAVE A 96 SKI DOO TOURING E THAT I USE FOR ICE FISHING. A FEW WEEKS AGO I PUT A REVERSE KIT ON IT MY SELF. WELL I TOOK IT OUT TONIGHT FOR A MILE OR TWO, SEEMS OK. WHAT IS TO LOOSE OR TO TIGHT?

First how much play is there if you move the driven clutch? If it moves 1/2 to 1 inch your most likley ok If it seem to bind, loosen it, If it klunks tighten it. If it goes in gear and work ok leave it alone. Hope that helps.

THANKS, THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE KIT SAID TO HAND TIGHTEN, THEN BACK IT UP UNTIL THE COTTER KEY GOES IN TO LOCK IT IN THAT POSITION.
