Stalling problem

Just got a new polaris 500, fuel injected. Starts up nicely , then stalls. Cant get started. Backfires. Seems real touchy. I dont touch the throttle when I start it like the book says. Is this a flooding problem or what?

First make sure your gas is on, check gas lever on side of gas tank, and check if you have gas in tank. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence, but rather a process of elimination.
