LaCrosse Area Ice

Anyone have any information on how the ice is coming along if at all in the LaCrosse, Wisconsin area? I am at school in Mankato, Minnesota and I am thinking about heading home if there is fishable ice. Any opinions would be great

None on the river acording to my dad.

not much even on the backwaters yet. only small ponds and real still water off the river has any ice. I think it might be awhile, just like last year....

has anyone been fishing around the la crosse area yet? there should be enough ice by now, i am curious if anyone has been catching any fish. i will be getting out on some backwaters when i get back to school in january and i will give some reports.

Was down there over Christmas, didn't get out but there were a lot of people fishing the Miss up in the area by the old Chicken Steak and Chocolate Cake (now the Blue Moon). Talked to a couple of guys who have been catching bass and sunnies.
