Clam 5600 and spearing

Has anyone tried spearing out of a Clam 5600? I know the rectangular cutout is not very big but is it possible to spear through as is?

We have one in our fleet of spearing houses, It’s nice and easy to set up. You can spear just fine out of it in clear water lakes, but your will run into a problem in dirty lakes. The reason for that is because the canvas isn’t heavy enough and lets to much light in. If you do get one make sure to add carpet so its doesn’t make so much noise also.

Thanks for the advice. I bought the clam new last year. I'll have to see if I can find some scrap carpet to throw in there. My first try at spearing so we'll let you know how it goes later on.

my brother is right. They are vvery nice houses, but the problem is, the canvas isnt dark enough. So if its sunny out, your going to have a hard time to see.
