Devils Lake has ice!

Temps dropped to around 13 below monday night and we woke up to the lake being covered by a sheet of ice. What a sight for the ice fishing blues. There were a few spots on the main lake that had open water yet but highs are only expected to reach around 10 degrees for the next week. The entire lake should be covered with ice the next few days and the smaller bays should have fishable ice by the middle of next week.

Yea, thanks for the report. Here in central minnesota the ice has also started. Looking forward to fishing devils lake again this year.

Boy it was cold in DL today. But the wind was up. Lots of the lake is froze up good but still some open areas including the main lake by the casino.
