Poutmaster
I prefer a head of a minnow, hooked through the lips on one of the trebles.------------------Love them 'Pout!
Guest
I usually hook them whole through the lips. The livliest, smallest minnow in your bucket is deadly on a glow devil or forage minnow
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted January 14, 2003 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted January 14, 2003 I'm not saying this is a fact, but many swear by hooking a minnow head on the Angel Eye or Glow Devil using the hook that is perpendicular to the spoon.Anyone else back that up or have another way?You can find the Angel Eyes or Glow Devils by clicking here. Crappieman
Rick I think that makes sense, because then the minnow would line up and make a straight line. I will try both ways and see. Good idea------------------Go Buckeyes
fiskyknut
Yepper, I have found that the hook point that sticks out the same direction of the convex of the spoon seems to give the most action. I use heads or a 1/3 of a minnow hooked from under the gills up thru the brainpan, stays on better this way, then mash the remaining minnow into the splitrings, and wipe the goo and scales onto the edges of the spoon. fiskyknut
Come on up and we'll fry some Perch fillets out on the lake. If you want I could rub your fillets on my guidewear bibs for that extra bit of flavor/smell too, they're getting rather crusty this winter!!!Regards....Fisky
upnorth
I have had my best luck using just the tail of the minnow on the AE jr. The head works, just seems the tail works a little better. Maybe it lets the AE work a little better? Don't know
