I talked to the guy I lease a lot from and he said the lake(1200 acres) Im on froze over last night!Maybe if the temps and wind stay down, I might be able to get the spear house out next sat.MMMMM. Fresh Pike!

its getting close. We are getting to the point where we might be able to get out. I dont think the metro will be good ice, but we will see. I have a feeling, i am goin to be driving north on opener

Has anyone heard a ice report for Lake Winnie? Would like to head up that way for opener or even the next weekend. We usally try the 3rd river flowage or on the Mississippi Inlet side. The forcast looks good.

It has to be making some good ice now. As long as the snow holds off. Looks like the Trip to Winnie should happen next weekend. Might be able to get out on a smaller lake this weekend around home.
