Ice Saw

As mentioned in an earlier post of mine you can chip with our Icesaw <blue blade>. You can’t chip too hard because it will bend! With the pointed tip you don’t have to chip that hard. Also if you chip too fast and hard the blade will start to wobble from side to side and you will start missing your hole. You can chip pretty easily up to around 10 inches of ice and after that the hole starts filling up with ice chips that have to be cleaned out to continue chipping. When the ice is thicker auger out the 4 corners and cut between the auger holes. Once you get the hang of chipping with it you’ll be amazed at how easy it is.

here is a picture to show you what Fish Toys Saw does to ice. You can see that i have cut a hole with my auger in the top corner. From there i will cut the rest of the hole with the saw. The best thing about it, is its all in a straight line, and you dont have points sticking out like you do from a auger. I love this saw, and the best part is, its fast and slick, but saves alot of pressure of the auger.

i just got a fishing sports saw over the weekend. it cuts extremely well. the only problem with them is that they are hard to find. the only place that had any saws on hand was a small gas station in central MN, and i got the last one.

Yes triggertrav they ended up in short supply. I had supplier problems and sat here 3 weeks with out material to make them. I kept a few here for the people that ordered them from www.icesaws.com so they could be shipped out. Now I’m trying to catch up on orders. It’s tough to make 140+ Icesaws in a short time period. With the holidays over I can put more time in to make them. Lost a bunch of time today because where I get the blades cut they forgot to put the little angle pieces in there tumbler to clean them up so had to take them back and lost 4 hrs. If the store is out have them call their distributor to order more Icesaws. That screw up at my supplier really put me behind but now it should go smoothly and get all the orders filled. Thank you to the people that were patiently waiting to get one.

I would like to make a request for the ice saw.

Can you make an interchangeable handle so I could swap the long handle when I am moving my house and a short handle when I want to open up the hole in my house.

The saw is a little too long to open the hole in the house.

It works but it may be nice with the interchangeable handles.

That might be a tough one. The holes in both handles would have to match. Also you would have to carry wrenches with for the bolts. The easiest way is to have the 28” \:\) Icesaw. How thick of ice are you cutting in the house? Once through the ice keep the Icesaw deeper in the ice and make shorter strokes.
