wayne123 Posted November 25, 2007 Share Posted November 25, 2007 I do not think you want used coils. My experience is they ussually leak the spark out when they are old. So the ones you buy used might not be much better than the ones you have. You can try cranking over and/or starting the motor with the cover off in a darker place and see if you see sparks jumping to ground. I have temporarily fixed coils by silconing where the spark is leaking. Be extra careful with the cover off because of the moving parts.
