Coils for 55 hp. Chrystler

Anyone know of a outboard junkyard where I could get coils?new there $110.00 ea.I dont even know if the motor runs.Cant see 200 bucks to check it out!

I do not think you want used coils. My experience is they ussually leak the spark out when they are old. So the ones you buy used might not be much better than the ones you have. You can try cranking over and/or starting the motor with the cover off in a darker place and see if you see sparks jumping to ground. I have temporarily fixed coils by silconing where the spark is leaking. Be extra careful with the cover off because of the moving parts. If you are not comfortable starting it with the cover off don't do it.

These were beyond repair! Got two commin in mail hsolist 25.00 each lot less than $107.00 + tax each.If it runs? next time I may get new.
