toughguy
I know the water hasn't even froze up yet but I'm trying to plan a tent camping trip for fishing opener on Leech. Can anyone recommend a good campground with a protected harbor on the lake? Thanks
glenn57
stony point campground off hwy 2 on south end of lake not far out of walker towards remer. we use to go off there back in the days of the tullibbee slaughter. didnt look like a bad state run campground. VMS
Ah Glenn....?You missed a couple of zeros on the end of your highway number there...I would agree with stoney point campground. Very nice camp, good access, fish cleaning, etc. you go north on Onigum road off of hwy 200 about 1-1/2 miles east of the junction of 371 and 200, by the casino. You head north for a few miles, then turn left toward the campground...go all the way to the end.Steve
