WildFan10
I am new to pheasant hunting this year. I am from the south metro and am looking for some public land to hunt in Dakota County. Does anyone know of decent spot to check out this weekend? I know there is a WMA just outside of Farmington I was thinking about hunting. Anyone know anything about this place or any other places a new hunter could try for a couple of hours? Thanks.
Lip_Ripper Guy
If you have Google Earth there is an overlay at the DNR HSOforum for all the WMA's in the state.

WildFan10
Thanks for the information guys, I checked out your replies in the other forums and they should help. I have heard there is plenty of public land around to hunt, just need to get out there and find it. I imagine this weekend might be a bad weekend to be in the fields with all the deer hunters out? brittman
Wait till deer season is over. Long wait in zone 3. Take a look at the map and find zone 4 areas and hunt weekdays.December will be good if we get a little snow.
