Wolves - Who's on the way out?

The Wolves need to trim 3 from their roster by Monday. Who's next to be on their way out? Predicitions? Rumors? Looking at the roster, the only lock (in my opinion) to be gone is John Edwards. If you believe McHale, one or two of the players we got from the Heat won't be here in a week. But Antoine (if my sources are correct) can't be traded for 15 days. I keep hearing rumors that Telfair will be cut. I'm not a Telfair fan, but I can't see that with how thin they are at the point...unless there's something in the works to bring in another one.

Edwards, Doleac, Simien, and that last cut that I wish they didn't have to make: Chris Richard. Hopefully McHale could make one more move to get rid of a bad contract (Jaric, Walker, or Buckner), get a draft pick, and save a roster spot. But McHale has now made enough savvy moves to last for another 10 years, so I'm sure he'll go back to trading away draft picks and signing crappy veterans over the weekend.

I really like Chris Richard but you already have that type of player in Craig Smith. They way things are looking in the frontcourt, they will need Richard.

Walker can't be traded for 60 days unless it is a 1 for 1 trade. McHale is trying to find a taker for Jaric. I hate Walker. All he does is float around the 3 point line and chuck the ball when he gets it. I hope he goes quick.

Juwan Howard got bought out today. I guess the Wolves want to hold onto Doleac. I guess GLen Taylor is made of money. Make atheltes stick to their contract, we didn't owe Howard anything, why'd we buy him out?

i'm with ya on that. the one thing he can do is score in the low post. he kills guys down there, but it is such an afterthought with him. all he wants to do is stand outside and shoot that flat shot of his. he has on of the worst release points in the nba

I don't know much about Beno. But on the surface, I'd say it's a good trade. Only giving up a 2nd round pick, which rarely pan out, especially when McHale is making the decision. One second round pick in 12 years has amounted to anything. So giving up essentially nothing for a player that can provide some minutes backing up the point is a good move.

Beno has played 3 years and has seen 10 to 14 minutes a game for the Spurs every year. So he has to have some ability if he's been seeing consistent minutes for a franchise like that. The one down side I see just looking at his stats is that his numbers haven't improved from his rookie year. I guess we'll find out what he can do with the Wolves when he doesn't have the big guns to rely on like he did in San Antonio.

Beno's career as a Timberwolf is over!!! Here's the details on the trade. Kind of a weird trade. But essentially, it allowed the Wolves to get some money for little risk.

The Wolves picked up a little cash in a bookkeeping move that helped San Antonio get under the salary cap. The Wolves traded a conditional second-round pick to the Spurs for money and guard Beno Udrih. The Wolves waived Udrih and the pick will be lost only if the Wolves finish with one of the four top records in the NBA this season.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the Wolves will get that pick back...

So I have a question about Walker, do any of you think the wolves could be included in the Kobie trade, with the wolves being a 3rd team involved in the trade? Maybe use him for his salary to help offset some of Kobie's salary to whatever team ends up with him?

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
