fast40m
Iwent to the bait store and got a bucket full of spickelback and dogfish. is it true that other fish won't eat spickelback? maybe this is part of my past problem! by the way it wasn't a local bait store. keep walkin' on water!!!! Deitz Dittrich
I was told once by a pretty good ice anbler that they sometimes searched out stickleback minnows for tipping jigs with just a head... THis person felt that a stickleback minnow gave off more and a different scent? All you can do is try.. Give it a shot and let us know!I personally dont use them! Steve Foss
I always figured fish preferred soft-finned baitfish, but I've seen a few sticklebacks in fish stomachs too. And they sure are lively bait.
Pig_sticka
some of the perch i have caught on winnie, have had sticklebacks in their mouths when they come up the hole. usually fisherman ban them from even being able to swim in their fishing buckets. i have caught a few fish on them but i would still prefer other bait.
