Salmon, Steel, and Foliage

Been targeting some salmon and steelheads lately and our colors are comming along nice. It's been a super dry year and warm so our colors are not as nice as some years but but still pretty...

Connected with this dime bright steelie on my second cast the other morning. Fish is in the 12-14 lb range...

D.C. look like you had just a blast with the salmon and steelhead. Your arms must have had quite a work out fighting those badboys. Your fall colors look great!Thanks for sharing your pics.

jimalm - You definatly feel beat up after a good day on the river. On the road at 4am for a 2 hour drive, breakfast and fishing at daybreak, fish till mid day sometimes walking a bit while hitting a few spots, stop for some lunch, back on the water till later afternoon/ dark, then drive home. Add in sometimes hooking dozens of fish and your beat... but happy!
