Anyone hunting bear?

Has anyone been out hunting bear this year, if so did you get one? I have a cabin in the Minong area, I havent seen one all year, I was just wondering if the numbers were down, or I just had the wrong timing.

No bears for me, but know quite a few folks that got one. Average season again I would have to guess, with some decent ones tagged in my area. Personally, I would say the population was pretty stable for the amount of bears I seen this year compared to the last few.

I know hunting was tough in the Grantsburg area. Bumper acorn crop seems to be the problem...
