skull mounts

Last year I shot a 6 point and i'm getting a skull mount done. My first buck and deer with a bow so I kinda want somthing cool. Does any have pictures of theres? Thinking about mounting on a nice piece of wood. But would like it fancy.

Cabelas' has a kit out there relatively cheap...European Mount. I still need to finish mine up I have it almost done just need to mount it to the wood.

I did 7 of these mounts last year for myself and others, For the final product I drilled a hole in the base of the skull and put a lag bolt through it. I then made discs out of cedar cutting it so the bark was all around it. Drill a hole in it and fasten the lag bolt with a wing nut

I SHilaked the cedar and mounted it with a 2x2 so it would have an angle off the wall. They all turned out really nice. ill get a pic on here when i have a chance.

I knew a guy with a bansaw and had him cut me some of the cedar discs, I have about 50 + of these discs for future use, if your interesed i may be able to find one for you otherwise the cabelas kit works well too.

Ya beerhunter if you could get some pictures of it that would be great. I like the one cablas has but seeing other ideas is all ways better. Thanks
