Faribault Area

I hunt a couple of lakes and sloughs in the Faribault, Lonsdale, New Prague area and was wondering what the forecast is going to be for this year. Work has kept me from scouting so i'm just looking for some input from maybe early goose hunters that have been on the water. Not looking for great details or places to hunt, just wondering if the numbers are up, down or the same from the past couple of years. Thank You.

I would say they is more than last year. But thats just what I see. I would go scout your spot though, some of my sloughs that I have hunted in the past are filled in with grass and really low water.

I went out and scouted some over last weekend. I saw one goose and one duck in 5 lakes/sloughs that I went to. Saw a guy and his two boys coming off one of them and he said they did not see a duck. I was on the north and west side of Hooterville. Gonna try to get out to George and Circle this week sometime and see what I can see there. Looked pretty bleak to me this past weekend though. Oh well, maybe when they start shooting wherever the ducks are some will come this way. Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

I've been hunting early goose in a field just off the west end of roberds lake, and I've never seen so many ducks B4 in my life! 2nd weekend of early goose, 1 moring we probly saw 1000-1500 ducks! I'm not exhaderating either! It was unbelievable! Tons of geese 2! But on a regular day, probly 300-400 in an average morning.

there r alot ducks at circle but they will be gone once skybuster clear them out..
