If it was a factory installed electric start, then yes it should be. One way to tell would be to look for 2 yellow wires coming from under the flywheel to a rectifier. They may go to the terminal block or through a plug to the rectifier. either way, the rectifier will have the 2 yellows and a red hooked to it. No matter what anyone tells you, DO NOT DISCONNECT THE BATTERY CABLES AND LOOK FOR A SPARK WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING.

Next time out, bring a multi-tester and prob battery term's while at idle or under load (could do with rabbit ears at home). Set multi-tester to 20v and see if your above the rating you tested battery at before eng. started. OH, test battery before you start it to see what volts it sitting at.

Easiest way I know of.

My fish graph has volts on it and I run it off of crank battery. The eleminates distruption I get from trolling motor battery and helps monitor charge rate of cranking battery.

Good luck!!!
