reports for small game opener?

went out to the carver highlands in chaska for small game today at 11:00 .... got 2 doves even after are little cold spell. thought they would be all gone now? i wanted rabbitts and squirlls but i got out too late. a bow hunter said he was out at sun up and saw tons running around! first time small game hunter here, any tips would be awesome!

For squirrels, be out closer to sunrise, find an oak woods or better yet, a woods next to a corn field. For rabbits, try brushy areas. Or better yet, get permission to hunt farmsted groves. Hunt with a buddy, post one guy and have the other guy drive the rabbits right by the poster.
