Dave S Posted September 8, 2007 Share Posted September 8, 2007 yes they are legal, but they must be registered for which ever use you plan to use it for. Unfotunately, there isn't ONE registration that covers everything. So if you plan to use it in the water, you will need to register it as a watercraft. You'll also need an atv registration which should be done prior to leaving a dealership in MN. I also think that the only legal access into any water ways in MN would be on a public access. But you'd be much better off talking to the powers that be in the DNR office in St. Paul or Little falls on that one.This information was directly from a CO during an ATV course I conducted last spring. Swill Posted September 11, 2007 Share Posted September 11, 2007 check out the atv or argo post. I think a 8 wheel argo does not count as a atv class 2 because of the dnr definition of a class 2 atv.
