Garlic huh? Pretty interesting, I grow about an acre of hardneck garlic each year, 20 different varieties. Never imagined it could be used in conjunction with bait. When you mention walleye don't mind, does it help in some situations?? I imagine your talking about Lake Trout too.

I use Garlic scent for Kamloop Rainbow Trout (Loopers) on the North Shore of Lake Superior as well as on my plastics for Lake Trout. It seems to help on some days and on others I dont think it hurts.

As far as for walleyes I dont think its a big difference maker. I have had just as good of luck with plastics with no garlic. At times DR. Juice or a Power Bait added to a jig really helps though.

I think more than anything you have to have confidence in it.

I am a huge believer in garlic. For soft plastics, I try to buy all of mine at the end of the season, then get some "BANG" garlic spray and open the bag, soak the plasics and let them "Fester" all winter. I really believe it makes a differnce.
