Expensive Goose Calls. Are they worth it?

There are a few really good poly calls out there for under $50. In fact, Scott Thrienen uses a poly call for contests. As for acrylics, I own'em and I use'em but IMO there are several factors more important than calls.

1. Scouting the "X" field

2. Location in that field

3. Concealment in the field

4. Decoy quality and placement

5. Blind locations

6. Motion. Flags and decoys

7. Calling

If the first 6 are in place and done right, chances are you will need juts a little calling at the most.

No
