Try to simulate the positioning of the bids in the field you plan to hunt. If your running traffic or on a field your not familiar with the L of U formations work well.

Remember to set your decoys with the wind at your back so they have the pocket to land into. Remember to keep some space between the fmaily groups and limit the number of sentrys.

dont forget to put some duck shells or full bodies behind your layouts as well. We also put spinners when allowed. if you have ducks feeding in fields in the area this can be one of the funnest ways to hunt them, they will usually come around sun-up so be ready and hit them with some good calling. nothing better than having them swarm your spread and shooting them with their feet down 10 feet off the ground right in your face

good point. we mix it up with the decoys all the time. we use big foots and other full bodies, some with moving bases, silo's, shells, higdon shells. The movement is the key. if you have heads bobbing and weavingand bodies moving side to side this is killer, use a flag when they are far out too. if you have a duck spinner turn it off with the geese are coming in, they dont like this type of movement, but the green heads do
