funbilly
This sight has really helped me with my bass fishing. Let me share, I've been fishing White Bear every tuesday with a buddy of mine and my brother in-law. They love to fish shallow and it was driving me nuts. So I pulled rank (well after all it is my boat). We went deep off of a series of humps. Wow I had the most unbelievable night that I can remember. 3 hrs. and between 12-17 fish all over 2 lbs. The largest was a 4.9lbs. largemouth and a 3 lbs. smallmouth. Thanks for all the great advise and information. Especially Deitz because I actually tried dropp shotting after reading his post. bassNspear
Congradulations. Its fun when you have good luck doing it. Dietz has been working me pretty hard to learn how to fish deep. I have taken his remarks and used them to become a better deep water fisherman becuase docks just dont always cut it>>

fellowx
Fishing deep has opened a whole new horizon for me as well. 3 weeks ago we finally gave it a go only after working the shallows and only catching 2 bass. It wasn't until we were out deep 18-25ft that we started catching good numbers. Wacky senko, finesse worm and plastic minnow all worked on the drop shot. cableguy031
I agree with you. I've always fished for bass near the shallows, not much thought about fishing deep for them. I went out to BE and fished down to 15 feet according to my slip bobber and found 3lb bass down there. I think it has to do with the warm water that are driving fish deeper than normanl. BassAkwards
Where abouts at BE? I haven't had much success there deep, but always thought that the pigs were hiding...
Ebiz
I was out fishing walleyes on one of my favorite little metro lakes yesterday. Wound up getting into a dozen nice bass, biggest one tipped the scale at 5lbs. 2oz. All came between 14-20 feet.
