Kodiak 400 question

What is behind the plate by the foot brake? It says Yamaha on it and is held in with 10-12 screws. We opened it up due too a rattle and clutch trouble. Inside we found a shaft with a nut on it that is stripped (shaft is stripped). Is this shaft part of the clutch? Repairable? Difficulty?

Is #32 a nut? If it is then #24 must be the stripped threads. Thanks for the quick reply.

32 is a nut, i dont know what year you have, this is from an 04
