Bayfield/Washburn WI Camping Aug 16

Do any of you know of a good spot to camp up there for one night? We have a place on the lake rented for two nights but need a place to throw a tent up on Thursday Aug 16th. It just two tents and four adults...well early thirties We are looking to have a fire and knock a few back before getting on the lake to fish in the AM. Thanks, Brent

Big Rock State Park should fit the bill. It's a nice little campground on the Sioux river, about 6 miles northwest of Washburn. Also makes for a great basecamp for a handful of good steelhead rivers in the fall.

Can I get a big trailer with a 27 foot cuddy in and out of the Big Rock Camp Ground alright???

I've always slept in a tent or the truck, but I'd be inclined to say it may be a little tight. The campground in town wouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure about Big Rock. You could give Craig at Outdoor Allure a call. He owns the bait store in town and would know for sure.
